"Ambassador Z", developed by Joly Horses, shines at Monaco
Inès Joly, ambassador for the portuguese brand Lion of Porches and rider on the Monaco Aces team, which competes in the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT), won a five-star Grand Prix of the most illustrious equestrian competition in the world for the first time in her career. With a total prize money of €1.5 million, Monte Carlo was thrilled with the performance of Inès Joly and “Ambassador Z” who, in just over 42 seconds, managed to cover the Principality of Monaco circuit and secure the triumph in the 10th round of the Longines Global Champions Tour.
The 10-year-old horse, “Ambassador Z”, developed by Joly Horses, a 100% portuguese company specialized in the development of first-class jumping horses for investment and negotiation purposes, did not give the competition a chance, in a triumph that becomes more impressive given that Inès Joly beat the leader of the standings, Max Kühner, and stood out for being the only one to manage to finish the circuit without any penalty.
At the end of the race, the 26-year-old rider did not hide the emotion of the most recent and important achievement of her career: “I never imagined this, it’s extraordinary. I knew I had an opportunity, so I decided to take a chance. It was the opportunity of a lifetime, and I took advantage of it. If you had told me two years ago that I would be winning my first Grand Prix on the Global Champions Tour, I would have said they were dreaming. It’s a dream come true,” she explained to Global Champions TV.
With winning this Grand Prix, Inès Joly was also entitled to a golden ticket to be present at the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix that will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between November 20th and 23rd.
